Biblical Declarations of Faith

“Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession…let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.” Hebrews 4:14, 10:23

These can be used to pray meditate or as declarations of faith.

  • I recognize that there is only one true and living God (Exodus 20:2, 3), who exists as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and that He is worthy of all honor, praise and worship as the Creator, Sustainer, Beginning and End of all things (Revelation 4:11; 5:9, 10; Isaiah 43:1, 7, 21).

  • I recognize Jesus Christ as the Messiah, the Word who became flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:1, 14). I believe that He came to destroy the works of Satan (1 John 3:8), that He disarmed the rulers and authorities, having triumphed over them (Colossians 2:15).

  • I believe that God has proven His love for me, because when I was still a sinner, Christ died for me (Romans 5:8). I believe that He delivered me from the domain of darkness and transferred me to His kingdom, and in Him I have redemption, the forgiveness of sins (Colossians 1:13, 14).

  • I believe that I am now a child of God (1 John 3:1-3). I believe that I was saved by the grace of God through faith, that it was a gift and not the result of any works on my part (Ephesians 2:8).

  • I choose to be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might (Ephesians 6:10). I put no confidence in the flesh (Philippians 3:3), for the weapons of my warfare are not of the flesh (2 Corinthians 10:4). I put on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-17), and I resolve to stand firm in my faith and resist the evil one.

  • I believe that Jesus has all authority in heaven and on earth (Matthew 28:18), and that He is the head over all rule and authority (Colossians 2:10). I believe that Satan and his demons are subject to me in Christ because I am a member of Christ’s body (Ephesians 1:19-23). I therefore obey the command to resist the devil (James 47), and I command him in the name of Christ to leave my presence.

  • I believe that apart from Christ I can do nothing (John 15:5), so I declare my dependence on Him. I choose to abide in Christ in order to bear much fruit and glorify the Lord (John 15:8). I announce to Satan that Jesus is my Lord (1 Corinthians 12:3), and I reject any counterfeit gifts or works of Satan in my life.

  • I believe that the truth will set me free (John 8:32), and that walking in the light is the only path of fellowship (1 John 1:7). Therefore, I stand against Satan’s deception by taking every thought captive in obedience to Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). I declare that the Bible is the only authoritative standard (2 Timothy 3:15-17). I choose to speak the truth in love(Ephesians 4:15).

  • I choose to present my body as an instrument of righteousness, a living and holy sacrifice, and I renew my mind by the living Word of God in order that I may prove that the will of God is good, acceptable and perfect (Romans 6:13; 12:1, 2).

Father God, I affirm that my life and sustenance come from You, and apart from You I can do nothing. Thank you for this year, and may Your will be done and Your Kingdom come in my life, and then use my life for Your glory and divine purpose!

MY PRAYER EACH DAY

Heavenly Father, I come before you now in the name of Your Son and my Lord Jesus. Father I cast my cares on you for you will sustain me, you will never let the righteous fall and I am righteous because of who Jesus is in me and because of what He accomplished on Calvary for me. I commit my way to you Lord; I will trust in you and You will do this; You will make my righteousness shine like the dawn and the justice of Your cause like the noonday sun. I will commit to You Lord whatever I do, and my plans will succeed. With Your help I will not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present my requests to You, and Your peace which transcends all understanding, will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Lord, I am blessed because I trust in You and my confidence is in You, I will have no fear. I will try very hard to keep myself from the love of riches and be content with what I have, because Lord God You are with me always. Again, I will place my anxieties on You Lord because You care for me. I will not worry about tomorrow, because You Lord go before me and will be with me and will never leave me or forsake me, I will not be afraid or be discouraged. I will be strong and courageous; I will not be terrified or discouraged because You Lord God will always be with me wherever I go. Lord I will be on my guard, I will stand firm in my faith, for You did not give me a spirit of fear but instead a spirit of power, love a sound mind and self-discipline. So, Lord I now can say with confidence that I will not be afraid because you are my helper and keeper. I can now approach your throne of grace with confidence so that I may receive mercy and find grace to help me in my time of need.

In Jesus Name, AMEN

HEART STRONG MEDITATIONS

ACTS that can strengthen your mind, soul and body.

(Some verses are changed to first person)

Adoration:

With my whole heart, with my whole life,
and with my innermost being,
I bow in wonder and love before you, the holy God!
2 Yahweh, you are my soul’s celebration.
How could I ever forget the miracles of kindness
you’ve done for me?
3 You kissed my heart with forgiveness, in spite of all I’ve done.[a]
You’ve healed me inside and out from every disease.
4 You’ve rescued me from hell[b] and saved my life.
You’ve crowned me with love and mercy.
5 You satisfy my every desire with good things.[c]
You’ve supercharged my life so that I soar again[d]
like a flying eagle in the sky!
6 You’re a God who makes things right,
giving justice to the defenseless.

7 You unveiled to Moses your plans
and showed Israel’s sons what you could do.
8 Lord, you’re so kind and tenderhearted
to me when I don’t deserve it[e]
and so patient with me when I fail you!
Your love is like a flooding river
overflowing its banks with kindness.[f]
9 You don’t look at me only to find my faults,[g]
just so that you can hold a grudge against me.

10 You may discipline me for my many sins,
but never as much as I really deserve.
Nor do you get even with me for what I’ve done.
11 Higher than the highest heavens—
that’s how high your tender mercy extends!
Greater than the grandeur of heaven above
is the greatness of your loyal love, towering over all
who fear you and bow down before you!

12 Farther than from a sunrise to a sunset—
that’s how far you’ve removed my guilt from me.
13 The same way a loving father feels toward his children—
that’s but a sample of your tender feelings toward me,
I am your beloved child, who lives in awe of you.
14 You know all about me, inside and out.[i]
You are mindful that I am made from dust.

(Ps. 103:1-14 The Passion Translation (TPT))

1 I thank you, Lord, and with all the passion of my heart
I worship you in the presence of angels
Heaven’s mighty ones will hear my voice
as I sing my loving praise to you.
2 I bow down before your divine presence
and bring you my deepest worship
as I experience your tender love and your living truth.
For the promises of your word and the fame of your name
have been magnified above all else!
3 At the very moment I called out to you, you answered me!
You strengthened me deep within my soul
and breathed fresh courage into me.

(Ps. 134 TPT)

Confession:

Heavenly father I ask you to search my heart to see if there is any way in me that has caused me to violate your law of holiness. (Pause and listen)

This includes harmful behavior, attitudes or thoughts.

Forgive me Lord Jesus for __________________________. I thank you that your grace is sufficient to cleanse me of all unrighteousness because you are faithful and just to forgive me of all my failures. I ask you to restore to me the joy of my salvation and renew a right spirit in me.

Thanksgiving:

Hallelujah! I Praise you my Lord!
I thank you God, for you are good and easy to please.
Your tender love for me, Lord, continues on forever.

2 Who could ever fully describe your glorious miracles?
Yahweh, I could never praise you enough?
3 The happiest one on earth is the one who keeps your word
and clings to righteousness every moment.

(Ps. 106 TPT)

With all my heart and passion I will thank you, my God!
I will give glory to your name, always and forever!
13 You love me so much and you placed your greatness upon me.[b]
You rescued me from the deepest place of darkness,
and you have delivered me from a certain death.

(Ps. 86, TPT)

8 So I lift up my hands and thank you God for your marvelous kindness
and for all his miracles of mercy for those he loves.
9 How you satisfies my soul of thirst
and fills the hungry with all that is good!
10 I once sat in darkness,
living in the dark shadows of death.
I was a prisoners to my pain, chained to my regrets.
11 For I rebelled against your word
and rejected your wise counsel.
12 So you humbled me through my circumstances,
watching me as I stumbled, with no one there to pick me back up.
My own pain became my punishment.
13 Then I cried out, “Lord, help me! Rescue me!” And you did!
14 Your light broke through the darkness and
you led me out in freedom from death’s dark shadow
and snapped every one of my chains.
15 So I lift my hands and give thanks to you God for your marvelous kindness
and for your miracles of mercy for me and those you loves!

(Ps. 107 TPT)

PRAYER OF WORSHIP AND THANKSGIVING

Dear Father in Heaven,

Thank you for the promise of your presence in my life. I willingly open the door to you and welcome you into every area of my life today including the struggles I am facing. I affirm the truth that this is the day that you have made and I will rejoice all day long in you.

Father, Son and Holy Spirit I place you at the highest place in my thoughts because you are above all things past, present and future. You reign supreme and your word is everlasting. Your loving kindness endures forever and your justice reigns down like the rains of heaven. My soul delights in the knowledge that you are all powerful, all loving and always faithful. Your wisdom is my foundation and your love is for me, in me and it flows through me to others. It is my privilege to pledge my love, trust and faithfulness to you this day.

Lord I confess to you that apart from you I can do nothing; therefore I choose to abide in your presence seeking your will through submission to your written word and your word revealed to me by your Holy Spirit. I ask you to search my heart and shine your light on my thoughts and my ways and reveal to me if there is anything you want me to repent of so I can turn back into agreement with you. (Pause and listen. Is there someone I should repent to?) I ask forgiveness for the things you are revealing to me and come back into agreement with your will for my life. I thank you that you are always faithful and just to forgive me for all my transgressions and restore me to right relationship with you and anyone in your family. I submit to your rule over me and do so by coming into agreement with your thoughts, your leadings, your ways and your will for me. May my life be an instrument of your love, peace and Kingdom purposes today as you lead me in your way everlasting.

Lord Jesus, thank you for your loving kindness toward me and my family and the ones I love. Thank you that in the midst of my struggles I can put my trust in you instead of my own strategies on how to solve my problems. I can count on your comfort and guidance to bring me through any challenges I am facing or may come my way. Thank you Lord for all the good things in my life that sustain me and bring me joy that I often forget to thank you for. (Name some of them) Thank you Lord for adopting me into your forever family and giving me the inheritance of royalty. Thank you for creating me as a work of art and designing me according to the works of your hand. Thank you for giving me a destiny that allows me to bring healing and change to this world by using my gifts and strengths to honor you. Most of all, thank you Jesus for dying on the cross and freeing me from the curse of the law and from death and shame. Thank you that I can live free from condemnation and walk in your amazing grace because there is no condemnation against me as one positioned in you through the blood of your sacrifice. I chose to honor you with this day in all that I endeavor to do.

Setting Spiritual Boundaries:

These are powerful Prayers for setting Spiritual Boundaries around yourself and those you Love. Pray these slowly and meditatively. God may want to reveal things to you as you pray these.

WELCOME HIS PRESENCE AND REIGN

Father Son and Holy Spirit I welcome you and release you to work in me according to your will and I willingly subject my life to your authority, rule, and dominion over and against Satan and his lies. I choose to bow to your Kingdom authority by following you as you lead me. In Christ I have received all the complete work and triumph of your death on the cross, your resurrection and ascension, through which Satan has been judged and cast down, and all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to you; therefore all glory, honor, power, and dominion, be unto you for now and forevermore Amen. I dedicate, my life, marriage, and family to you today and I agree for your blessings for us according to your word in Jesus name.   to reign with you always in victory over every weapon formed against our marriage and family bonds.

REPENT FOR SURRENDERING LAND TO THE ENEMY

I break agreement with every lie or dark spirit that I have ever agreed with, knowingly or unknowingly that opposes your will for my life, marriage and my family. Forgive me for trusting in my own imaginations and strategies to direct my life or solve my problems instead of seeking your wisdom and leading. Lord, is there any wisdom you have for me now as I wait on you?

RENOUNCE THE LIES AND DARK SPIRITS

I am seated in Christ at the right hand of the Father where I have been given your authority to stand in agreement with your will; therefore I renounce every weapon of fear, deception, and infirmity formed against me, my marriage, my household and all that you have given me dominion over. Lord, I welcome and release you to work in me according to your will. I ask you to reveal to me any lies or dark spirits I need to renounce so that I can walk in full agreement with your truth.

DECLARE TRUTH

Holy Spirit you are welcome here in the land of my heart and family. I proclaim your reigning influence over all of us. You have clothed me with power from on high and sealed me in Christ for eternity and I submit to you as my counselor, comforter and guide. I honor you and praise you as my Lord of the universe and I devote to you my spirit, soul, and body to be filled by your Holy Spirit and set aside for your good works.

Powerful Renunciations

“I renounce the Lies of Abuse, Fear, Shame, Defeat and Victim Thinking”.

I reject the lie that says I am a helpless victim with no power. I reject the lie that says I have no free will, am powerless to change my circumstances. Forgive me for believing that I cannot overcome my victim past…because the truth is (in Christ) “I am more than a conqueror, an overcomer through Jesus Christ.” (Romans 8:37) I can stand strong in the power of His might.” I choose to trust God and follow where he leads, letting God renew my mind and give me strength so I can overcome the spirit of abuse.

I renounce the Lies about God’s power and goodness.

I reject the lie that says Power is bad and will be used against me. Forgive me for believing the power of God is bad and that I cannot trust God. Forgive me for believing that all persons in power are bad, and to take control of such power is bad, and all power will be used against me. Because the truth is (in Christ) God is good. God is for me not against me. I can trust God. “For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid,(O) but gives us power,(P) love and self-discipline.” (Proverbs 3:5-6; 2 Tim 7) I choose to trust God and let the Resurrection Power rise up within me as I stand confident before the throne, as a child of God, and overcome the spirits of fear and shame.

I renounce the Lies about worthlessness and purpose.

“I reject the lies that say I am worthless; broken beyond repair and have no purpose. Forgive me for believing my life has no value or purpose, am invisible altogether to you and the world. Forgive me for trying to earn your love and prove my worth. Because the truth is (in Christ) “…in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. It is by faith, not by works that I am saved (Rom 8:28; Luke 11:33; Galatians 2:16).” I choose to Love and be loved, because you loved me first. I choose to be set upon a hill like a lamp and be hidden no longer, living out my kingdom purpose.

I renounce the Lies about hopelessness, depression & suicide.

I reject the lies that say life is hopeless and is not worth living. Forgive me for playing God, for testing you, and trying to end my life. Because the truth is (in Christ) “In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will.” “You wearied yourself by such going about, but you would not say, ‘It is hopeless.’ You found renewal of your strength, and so you did not faint.” (Eph 1:11 ; Isaiah 57:10) My Hope is in Jesus. I choose to live my life, striving to be Christ-like, to discover and live

my Kingdom’s purpose, to be a blessing in the world, wherever God shall lead.

I renounce the Lie that I’m a mistake.

I reject the lie that says no one hears me, or cares what I have to say, not even God. I reject the lie that says I’m a mistake, a displeasing embarrassment, a waste of space that should never have been born. Forgive me for believing that I am a mistake, and embarrassment that displeases you and should not exist. Because the truth is (in Christ) I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” (Ps 139:14) I am uniquely and wonderfully made, and choose to use my unique experiences and spiritual gifts to bless others.

I renounce the Lies about your care for me.

I reject the lies that say my needs and wants are not important and will be used against me, because I don’t deserve to be happy or loved, that I am incapable of love. Forgive me for believing that you don’t hear me, or care what I have to say, and that it is futile to even speak. Forgive me for believing you don’t care about my needs or desires. Because the truth is (in Christ) “I am more than a conqueror, an overcomer through Jesus Christ.” (Romans 8:37) I can stand strong in the power of His might.” You have shown me Lord that care about me, about the big and small things alike because you delight in me and love me. I choose to speak, and share with you my needs and desires, as well as thanksgiving and praise.

I renounce the Lies about shame and intimacy.

“I renounce the Spirit of Shame and Victim Thinking. I reject the lie that says no one wants me or loves me, not even God. I reject the lies that say I am only good for pleasing others and will be rejected once they are done with me. I reject the lie that says the only way to feel love is to let others use me as they want to. I reject the lie that says intimacy is bad/dirty and should be avoided. Forgive me for believing no one wants me in their life, or loves me, and that healthy intimacy is bad. Forgive me for believing you don’t want or love me, and that you would reject me. Because the truth is (in Christ) “I am more than a conqueror, an overcomer through Jesus Christ.” (Romans 8:37) I can stand strong in the power of His might.” I choose to love, in healthy ways as God desires us to love.

I renounce the Lies about victim thinking and perfectionism.

“I renounce the Spirit of Hopelessness and Oppression and Victim Thinking. I reject the lies that says I am powerless to change my circumstances, that I am alone. I reject the lie that says I will forever remain captive to fear and defeat; no one will save me, not even God. I reject the lie that says I must do everything perfectly in order to not lose your love. I reject the lie that says it’s up to me to take care of my needs, that I’m all alone in my efforts to figure it out and do it right. I reject the lie that says I will die and go to hell if I don’t earn your approval or please you/them. Forgive me for believing that I cannot overcome hopelessness and oppression. Forgive me for believing I am powerless to change my circumstances. Forgive me for believing I am alone. Forgive me for believing I must earn your love, and that you would reject me if I didn’t do everything perfectly. Because the truth is (in Christ) “I am more than a conqueror, an overcomer through Jesus Christ.” (Romans 8:37) I can stand strong in the power of His might.”

I renounce the Lies about abuse and rejection.

“I renounce the Spirit of Abuse and Victim Thinking. I reject the lie that says my identity is my abuse, and I have no power or authority over evil. I reject the lie that says if I lose my abuse identity I will cease to exist, because God will blot me out of the book of life when he is done using me, because I am not capable of doing things right. Forgive me for believing that my abuse is my identity and that I will be rejected by God…because the truth is (in Christ) “I am more than a conqueror, an overcomer through Jesus Christ.” (Romans 8:37) I can stand strong in the power of His might.”

I renounce the Lies about forgiveness.

“I reject the lies that say I’m bad, I’m dirty and un-pure, and can never be made clean, that my sins are forever a part of me, a stain upon my soul. Forgive me for believing that I cannot overcome shame. Forgive me for believing that my sin is too big for you, and trying to earn grace and love and clean my body and soul by my own strength and understanding. Because the truth is (in Christ) I am made new in him. God’s grace is sufficient for me, and his power is made perfect in weakness (Eph 4:23; Heb 8:13; 2 Cor 12:9) I choose to keep my eyes on the Victory that is already won, and my heart to remember that “It is Finished”. I am no longer bound by sin and death.

I renounce the Lies about remaining silent.

I reject the lie that says I am not a child of God because he didn’t protect me, and that

he cannot be trusted. I reject the lie that says I must stay hidden and silent to stay safe from rejection and harm. Forgive me for having false expectations about you as my protector, and for being angry when you did not stop the abuse. Forgive me for believing that remaining silent and hidden would keep me safe. Forgive me for believing that I cannot overcome my victim past…because the truth is (in Christ) “I am more than a conqueror, an overcomer through Jesus Christ.” (Romans 8:37) I can stand strong in the power of His might.” I choose not to remain silent. I choose to speak truth in love. I choose not to be invisible or hidden.

I renounce the Lies about fear and punishment.

“I renounce the Spirit of Fear and Control. I reject the lie that says I am a helpless victim with no power to say no to fear or abuse. I reject the lie that says everyone will hurt and reject me and I’m safer alone. I reject the lie that says there is no safe place for me to be still and rest in God’s presence. I reject the lie that says if I lost control I will feel soul crushing pain from suffering and will be unable to break free from the Tourettic chaos to breathe. I reject the lie that says my anger will consume me, and I will be unable to handle it and will cause myself or others harm. I reject the lie that says emotions are bad, that it is not safe to feel, not allowed to feel or show my pain. I reject the lie that says I lose a sense of self if I give up control. I reject the lie that says because I’m not capable of self-control I must always be on alert and hide my true emotions. I reject the lie that says it’s safer to give up power to avoid additional pain. Forgive me for believing that I am powerless against fear and defeat. Forgive me for trying to control everything in order to feel safe and avoid pain of rejection or physical harm. Forgive me for believing that I would lose a part of my identity if I gave up control, and to do so would invite punishment. Forgive me for believing giving up power would keep me safe from harm. Forgive me for believing that I can’t trust God to protect me, for believing he was punishing me with my sickness and that there is no safe place to rest. Forgive me for believing that emotions are bad, and that is it not safe to feel them, that to feel them I would be swallowed up by death and despair....…because the truth is (in Christ) “I am more than a conqueror, an overcomer through Jesus Christ.” (Romans 8:37) I can stand strong in the power of His might.”

I renounce more Lies about victim thinking.

“I renounce the Spirit of Fear and Confusion and Victim Thinking. I reject the lie that says I am alone, with no one to help or comfort me. I reject the lie that says it is better to suffer than to be alone, truly alone in the darkness, for to be alone in the darkness is to want to die. There is no safe time to rest, I must always be aware of what is happening and be ready to act. I reject the lie that says familiar is safe. I reject the lie that says that I must understand and control everything in order to keep safe from pain and rejection, and that forgetfulness and confusion are unsafe. I reject the lie that says I will always make bad choices that will lead to situations that I am powerless to escape. I reject the lie that says I should fear God and the gifts of god because I cannot understand them, and they are unfamiliar to me. Forgive me for believing that it is up

to me to keep me safe and meet my needs, and for choosing fear because it was familiar. Forgive me for believing I couldn’t trust you or the gifts you bless me with, and for not believing that you would bring understanding in your time. Because the truth is (in Christ) God equips the willing. (Romans 8:37) I can stand strong in the power of His might, as I take his yoke and learn his ways and lean on his understanding. Every good and perfect gift is from God. God gives us a spirit of power, love, and sound mind.
